Music & Me Time to learn Piano piano party

My younger students had a great time today at their piano party- the plan is that they do some art & craft, play the piano to each other and then have tea!

Today we decorated fairy cakes (which if they were too full after tea, they could take home) and we looked at 20th century and contemporary art about music and musicians. Then they created their own pieces of art which will be exhibited at a special exhibition at The Gallery at the End of the Lane on 29th March. My older young students (ie age 8 and up) will be doing the same next weekend so we should have a fantastic selection of individual responses to show you. By the way, they all played beautifully, (and sang) and most of them ended up playing at least 2 pieces as they loved sharing their music with each other. Exhausting but well worth it! The kind of experiences that will create lifelong memories…
