I visited the Edward Jenner Museum today and had a very useful meeting with Owen, the new events and exhibitions manager there. The “Inspired by” Edward Jenner’s work (both in relation to smallpox vaccination and his other many scientific and botanical interests) art project is coming together- saw two pieces in 24 hours that artist friends are working on- one knitted, one in mosaic, today, which in themselves invite discussion and provoke thought about what art can be, and what it can communicate.
Exhibition opens on 4th May and runs till 5pm 15th May at Dr Jenner’s House, visiting solely by ticket to the museum.
